Background: To update NSW rheumatologists on the activities of the Twice the Doctor (TTD) Foundation and Twice the Patient (TTP) initiative in enabling rheumatologists and other doctors to provide medical services to Africa.
Methods: Update on methods of fund raising and their relative success. Update on activities of our field partners including Barbara May Foundation, UNICEF, Fred Hollows Foundation and SURGICALife.
Results: Over 40 rheumatologists have participated in TTD with considerable funds raised. A number have participated in TTP with variable success.
